It seems like more and more model railroaders are going electric these days. So railroads with catenary are increasing in popularity, but it's one of the most tricky and frustrating installations to do! Many modelers also want to power the trains through the pantographs. We have several customers that hire us for this specialized service, most often for European-style model railroads.

We can build for you a detailed catenary system that has all the features of an actual system, including: generators, power plants, pull-off towers, phase bridges, etc. With today's wide selection of accessories it is easy to duplicate any of the operations of the electric railroads.

Catenary systems can be very complicated and take a lot of time to build. The complexity will also depend on the manufacturer or type of system, such as soldering brass etchings or snap-together kits.

We can also use any catenary you may already own if it is in good, like-new condition. We spend a great deal of time on the catenary construction and we must have a trouble-free operation on every layout we build, so the catenary we will use must be a high-quality product.
